Preferred Alternative Affirmed by City Council
On April 21, the Gridley City Council affirmed the Preferred General Plan Alternative . The General Plan team will now begin drafting policies and analyzing environmental impacts to create the draft General Plan Policy Document and Environmental Impact Report (EIR).

These alternatives concepts were the subject of public workshops in December and January. Major topics included neighborhood centers, Highway 99, parks and open space, transportation, and residential density. Based on the direction from the public and decision makers, EDAW prepared three land use and circulation alternatives. All three are consistent with public and decision maker input, and all three achieve the City's approved General Plan Vision and Guiding Principles.
